DATA INTEGRITY AND QUALITY CONTROL
The ABH Health Informatics team is committed to the integrity of the information it transmits to health plans, wellness vendors, and other third parties for whom timely, accurate data files are critical. Our ABHSMART tablet technology features built-in health data validation rules and requires multiple layers of participant identification to ensure accurate data matching delivering results. To reduce time-consuming and error-prone data entry, the processing of physical data forms is automated through Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) technology, a system that converts handwriting to text.

Our high-quality screening staff is W-2 employees, not contractors. We have rigorous standards for every screener. Appointment scheduling has never been easier with our upgraded portal, ABHConnect Plus. Every health screening includes a brief results review, and we also offer in-depth health education as an optional winning service.

ABH Home Test Kits and On-Demand Testing
ABH personnel must complete annual data security and HIPAA training and undergo background checks. ABH is fully secured and undergoes internal and external testing.
Access to Protected Health Information is limited to employees who need access only. The ABH Health Informatics department is secured by keycard scanners and surveillance cameras.
ABH uses a segregated, encrypted database and file servers, hosted by a SSAE16 SOC Type II certified facility. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound looks “inside” the body to show an image of a part of the body. Participants lie flat while a technician uses a transducer (wand) with gel to send out sound waves, which bounce back and create the image. It is not an x-ray, has no radiation, and is painless.
Finger-Stick Blood Test
These tests use a lancet (containing a needle) to poke a small hole in your finger, so blood can be drawn for the study. The lancet is a tiny box about the size of an eraser, and the needle is contained inside. You will never see the needle go into your skin, but you will feel a small prick.
Limited EKG
An EKG (electrocardiogram) is a painless test that measures the electrical activity of your heartbeat. Small adhesive patches called electrodes are placed on the skin, and a computer creates a graph of your heart rhythm called a waveform.
